Favor Friday: Acorn Cookies

Today is the first day of fall! Can you believe it? Autumn is one of my favorite times of year in Portland, OR. I love watching the leaves change color! To celebrate the change in season I decided to make these adorable acorn cookies. I originally saw them on Party Perfect and knew I had to try them! They are so sweet and easy to make. They would make great favors at an autumn wedding or woodland theme birthday party.

Supplies Needed:
• Mini Nilla Wafers
• Hershey’s Kisses (the dark chocolate is my favorite)
• Peanut Butter Chips
• Creamy Peanut Butter

These little treats are so simple, you could even make them with a child. Recipe follows: Peanut Butter Chip + Nilla Wafer + Chocolate Kiss (all ‘glued’ together with creamy peanut butter). I packaged mine up in cute little miniature baskets and attached a personalized tag with some ribbon.

Thanks Karen! They are so fun and easy to make! Even people who normally decline when offered treats won’t be able to resist the cuteness of these cookies! I hope your luncheon guests love them!

These are amazing! I’m always looking for something easy to make to bring into work (I just don’t seem to have the energy to bake when I get home). I think I may try these tomorrow night…..just the thing for fall! Thank you so much for the fantastic idea!

I’d like to make these a day in advance, but I thought they might taste stale. Has anyone else made them ahead of time?

      Hi Andrea,

These cookies can certainly be made in advance. Just be sure to store them in an air tight container to keep the Nilla Wafers fresh.
