Himalayan pink salt is as prized for its therapeutic properties on the skin as it is for its culinary health benefits. It is full of minerals and iron that work in synergy with the sodium so it’s wonderful to add to your food. On your skin, those minerals work as a powerful detoxifier. Combined with moisturizing coconut and sweet almond oils, this salt scrub is perfect for winter skin.

Himalayan Pink Salt Scrub

Ingredients:
• 8 oz pink Himalayan sea salt
• 2 oz coconut oil
• 1 oz sweet almond oil
• 10 drops rose geranium essential oil
• 5 drops citrus essential oil
• 5 drops ylang ylang essential oil

Mix together all ingredients in a jar. Warm up the coconut oil if you need to soften it. Store in small batches in the fridge to prolong life.

Optionally, if you are planning to give some away as gifts (and who wouldn’t love this!) then sprinkle a few rose petals on the top of the scrub before putting the lid on the jar.
