Magyar Style — Holiday Wine Labels

You never know where your best ideas will come from. Our programmer, Alan Kiraly, suggested that we create a style using his Hungarian grandmother's embroidery. She was an expert at the Hungarian folk art of Kalocsan embroidery. Alan brought in some of her work, and it is the direct source of the brightly colored stylized floral designs of Magyar. The beautiful, rich red flowers, the sweet green tendrils, the berries and buds and petals in yellow and blue and purple, all pop out of the black background to make a vibrantly rich floral tapestry. Within this floral frame, the bold, bright red main text is centered. Thank you, Ilona Kiraly, for your beautiful needlework which plays a central role in this rich folk art style.
