Provencale is a style with an overall pattern that was inspired by the hand-painted art on antique pottery found throughout Mediterranean Europe, especially in the region of Provence, France. Our finds from Roussillon and Avignon specifically inspired the art on this style. Scrolls, fleurs-de-lis, florals, vines, and other stylized art motifs are arranged into a pleasing pattern across the surface of Provencale. The prominent coquille shell and long-gowned feminine figure standing above it is the focal point of the art. The main color is bold, with a contrasting accent color that appears in small spot art on most items. The main font, a classic condensed serif face, is set in a box of solid color, bordered by bands of contrasting color. The accent font is a similar but non-condensed serif font that is easy to read at small point sizes. Customize Provencale bookplates for teachers you know and appreciate, and for all the paper and hardback books in your home library.
Provencale teacher bookplates measure 2.5" x 1.25" and are sold in sets of 24, with big discounts for volume purchases. They are made of waterproof vinyl, and will not come off the page unless you pull it off. They are removable, but they will pull some of the paper fibers with them when they come off. These bookplates are also very helpful for college students, baby's nursery bookshelf, magazine collectors, home or office libraries, book collections such as travel, cooking, science, gardening, or collectors' binders.
