With Printable Pinwheel Toppers
(Used in this project: Oval Labels in Fest style with Free Printable Cupcake Wrappers and Pinwheel Toppers.)
No 4th of July party is complete without some festive, fruity treats. Cupcakes are so easy to make and perfect for entertaining. When planning a party menu, I always try to manage my time by choosing a few simple recipes that can be made ahead of time and don’t take very much effort. That way I can spend more time with my favorite part of hosting a party – the decorations! For this dessert I chose to use Betty Crocker cake mix and frosting. I recommend baking the cupcakes the day before the party so all you need to do is frost and decorate them.
4th of July Cupcakes
• Betty Crocker Devil’s Food Cake Mix
• 3 eggs
• Vegetable oil
• Cupcake liners and pan
• Betty Crocker Whipped Cream Frosting
• Blueberries
• RaspberriesPrepare cupcakes following the instructions on the cake mix box. Store in an air tight container until the day of the party.
Frost cupcakes and decorate with blueberries and raspberries. For extra fun, download and make your own cupcake wrappers and pinwheel toppers.
I cut out red polkadot cupcake wrappers and decorated them with oval labels in Fest style.
Instructions for how to make a pinwheel topper is included on the printable download. You can also check out this tutorial for step by step photos.
