This past fall, Karen Sher of Prior Lake, Minnesota, hosted a party for her parents to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. In the midst of her party planning, she decided she wanted to give a hostess gift to her parents, family and friends that would be attending. She knew she wanted it to be something that was both unique and personal. The first idea that came to mind were personalized wine labels. After searching Google for label makers, she found Evermine offered the most style choices and the website to be the easiest to navigate. After looking through all the different options our website offers, she was inspired by more gift ideas! She ordered personalized water bottle labels for those guests that did not drink wine (mainly grandchildren) and personalized labels for photo CD’s too.

In honor of the occasion she decided to get out the photo album from her parents’ wedding day and use some photos in her label designs. Originally, she had wanted to choose one photo to use on all three labels (wine bottle, water bottle, and photo cd). However, when looking through the photo album with her sisters, they all had a different favorite! So instead of trying to make the difficult decision of choosing just one photo, Karen decided to use three, a different photo for each label.

On the day of the party, Karen wrapped up a bottle of wine for each adult couple. She placed the personalized water bottles, together with a few goodies in a gift bag and placed one at each plate setting. When the guests arrived, everyone was so surprised and excited about the personal touches she added to the occasion. Including the photos in her label designs turned out to be a great conversation piece at the party and her parents shared with them their own memories about about their special day, 50 years ago.
