Back to School Teacher Essentials Kit
I’m always looking for a fun gift idea to put together for the fantastic teachers we’ve had in our children’s lives. I recently came across a few charming versions of Teacher Emergency Kits and Teacher Supply Kits while browsing online, so for Back to School, I decided to create a Teacher Essentials Kit with handy little odds and ends that would be of use throughout the school year.
I have more than one child in school and preschool, so I picked up a couple clear plastic organizers at Hobby Lobby to hold the items. My next stop was to a local dollar store to pick out all of the “essentials” to go in the organizer. I had fun walking up and down the aisles, contemplating the perfect items to fit within the compartments.
Here’s what I ended up choosing:
- Mints
- Small Manicure Set
- Hand Sanitizer
- Chapstick
- Lint Roller
- Hand Lotion
- Band-Aids
- Tylenol
- Paperclips and Binderclips
- Chocolate (for those afternoon cravings we all experience!)
To dress up the front of my container, I ordered large rectangle-shaped custom labels from Evermine that say Teacher Essentials Kit. To add a bit of personalization to the inside, I also ordered small diamond hang tags that say We’re In Good Hands to tie to the hand lotion and hand sanitizer!
This kit is going to be a great ice breaker for my 7-year-old who is shy in nature – he is so excited to bring his new 2nd grade teacher a gift during Open House.
In addition to classroom teachers, these kits also work for principals, preschool directors, student teachers and more. What a fun way to kick off the school year!
Used In This Project:
- Large Labels • I chose the “Vintage Burlap” style in burlap grapefruit.
- Small Diamond Hang Tags • I chose the “Vintage Burlap” style in burlap grapefruit.
