Every year for Christmas, I try my best to avoid shopping at big box stores and instead shop locally or make gifts to give. This brownie mix is a favorite because it’s very easy to put together and is a great activity to do with a child. Simply layer the dry ingredients in a large mason jar and decorate with baker’s twine, custom labels, a gift tag and baking instructions.
- 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ⅓ cup cocoa powder
- ⅔ cup brown sugar
- ⅔ cup white sugar
- ⅓ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ⅓ cup white chocolate chips
- ⅓ cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease one 9x9 baking pan.
Pour the contents of the jar into a large bowl and mix well.
Stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla, ⅔ cup vegetable oil and three eggs. Beat until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Let cool and enjoy!
