For National Teacher Appreciation Week!
It’s officially National Teacher Appreciation week! This week allows us to honor teachers and recognize the lasting contributions they make to our children’s lives. Since returning back to work, I rely pretty heavily upon the teachers at my son’s daycare. Each day they take care of my most prized possession, and each day he comes home happy.
Since I am a working mom, I don’t have a lot of extra time on my hands, but I wanted to do something for all my son’s teachers. I wanted to give them a little thank you – something they can all use. I know I love to have foaming hand soaps by each of my sinks in the house, and I thought all Jasper’s teachers would enjoy nice smelling soap too.
Here is what you need:
- Bottle of hand soap (I purchased mine at Bath and Body Works – for a limited time you can get 5 soaps for $18.)
- Large oval hang tags (I used the Rustic Retro style in blue.)
- Clear cellophane bags (I used the large size)
- Raffia or fun decorative ribbon
After picking out the soaps, I made personalized gift tags that say “HANDS DOWN you’re the best teacher around!” Then I wrapped each hand soap in a clear cellophane bag and tied the gift tags on each bag with colored ribbon. For an extra added personal touch, you could outline your child’s hand on bright construction paper and then write a personal thank you note on it. This is such a simple and easy way to thank teachers.
