Ginger-Mint Lemonade
I'm certain you would get far more than a quarter per glass of this gourmet brew at your lemonade stand!
Type: Beverage
Serves: 4
  • 4 lemons
  • 1 cup ginger syrup, recipe here
  • 1 handful fresh mint leaves
  • 2 cups water
  • Ice
  1. Make this ginger syrup recipe and use one cup for this recipe.
  2. Juice 4 large lemons to yield 1.5 cups of juice.
  3. Reserve a few sprigs of mint for garnish. Remove the remaining mint leaves and tear into small pieces. Using and mortar and pestle, grind and bruise the leaves to release the oils. Pour a little of the ginger syrup into the mortar and use the pestle to muddle (mash) the leaves.
  4. Pour all of the ingredients together into a large pitcher and stir well. Use a fine mesh sieve to strain out the pulp, seeds, and leaves.
  5. Serve over ice with a sprig of mint.
