Crockpot Apple Butter

  • 15 medium sized apple
  • 1 cup of apple cider
  • 2½ cups of sugar
  • 4 tsp. cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground cloves
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg

  2. Peel, core and dice your apples. Throw the good bits into the crockpot and the bad bits into the compost bin. When your pot is full, add 1 cup of apple cider, place the lid on top and set to high for about an hour.

  4. Add sugar and seasonings, then set to low and let simmer for 8-9 hours.
  5. If your butter is still lumpy, mix with an immersion blender or food processor. If your butter is too runny, simmer longer.
