Because we have a couple knitters on our staff, we decided to make some easy knitted icord for our Nautical Knot Keychains using scrap yarn from past projects. However, even if you aren’t a knitter, you can easily replace the icord with a thick length of rope or twine for a unique take on the project.

To personalize our Nautical Knots, we added two blue gift tags in the style Color Wash that say:

Happy Father’s Day
Love Lindsay

and

Thanks, Dad
For being my anchor

The Color Wash style is particularly good for this project because it offers a charm option. We, of course, had to choose the anchor charm to go with the nautical theme of the project.

Josephine Guicciardi is the nom de plume of our creative Evermine blogger. With romantic connections to Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Immortal Beloved” love letters, it is in keeping with the blog’s themes of love and joy. The great composer writes the famous words “ever thine, ever mine, ever ours” to a woman who remains a mystery to this day. Two of the most likely objects of his adoration are Josephine Brunsvik and Guilietta Guicciardi, and it’s from these two women that Josephine Guicciardi draws her persona.
