Guinness Beer Floats
St. Patrick’s Day is one of my favorite holidays, so to celebrate the day properly, my husband and I will be hosting a dinner party at our house with all the traditional St. Patrick’s Day foods we can muster: corned beef and cabbage, Irish soda bread, and, of course, a simple St. Patrick’s day-themed dessert: Guinness Beer Floats.
The combination of beer and ice cream may seem strange at first, but I assure you it’s delicious enough that even your non-beer-loving friends may find themselves asking for seconds. It’s smooth and creamy, and incredibly indulgent, and it’s made just like root beer floats.
How to make Guinness Beer Floats:
First, scoop a nice big helping of vanilla ice cream into each glass.
Second, slowly poor the Guinness over the ice cream in each glass until you’ve reached the top.
Lastly, for a festive touch, add a tag to each glass, and a green paper straw.
Used In This Project:

Whatt these look so good! I love the extra touches with the straws and labels – did you make them yourself?
Hey Shikha!
Thanks for the comment. They ARE delicious – definitely one of my favorite St. Patrick’s Day treats of all time.
As for the labels, I didn’t make them myself, but I did personalize and order them from Evermine. Here’s the link!: http://www.evermine.com/all_tags/VM-31/
Hope that helps!
