Looking for a simple, easy, delicious, no fuss, no muss, any-time-of-year gift?
I’ve got just the thing for you: a homemade ranch dip herb mix. It’s as simple as visiting a grocery store, grabbing a few dried herbs, mixing them together in a bowl, funneling them into charming little receptacles and slapping on a sweet label that includes a very simple recipe for ranch dip. This recipe is also very adaptable. Go nuts! Cayenne? Sage? Cumin? Do what fans your fancy.
For this easy gift, I used 10 dram clear glass vials from Specialty Bottle, along with the Rustic Home style in sage in the diamond, small circle and envelope seal shapes (sizes 8B, 28 and 14).
- 3 tbsp dill
- 2 tbsp oregano
- 2 tbsp thyme
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt

- Combine the dried herbs and salt together in a bowl. Mix well and store in an airtight container. If you’re making gifts, distribute them into small (2-3 tablespoon) containers.
1-2 tbs Ranch Dip Herb Mix
1 cup yogurt or sour cream
Combine herb mix and yogurt or sour cream in a serving dish. Let set for 10 minutes. This ranch dip is so tasty with fried potatoes, chips, roasted veggies or spicy soups.
