Option 1:

  1. Place the folded handkerchief inside the small cellophane bag. You might need to push it in a bit so the handkerchief touches the bottom of the bag.
  2. Cut a piece off the top of the bag (around half an inch away from the tip of the handkerchief)
  3. Fold the sides down so the cellophane bag makes a point.
  4. Tape down the sides with washi tape.
  5. Take your ribbon and wrap it around the bag. Make the ends meet where the tape is. Lift the tape and tuck the ends inside.
  6.  Take a label and stick it neatly in the middle on the other side of the cellophane bag.

Option 3:

  1. Poke two holes near the bottom of the card.
  2. Place the card in the middle of the handkerchief. Fold the handkerchief so it sandwiches the card. You can adjust the fold so the tip of the handkerchief doesn’t cover the text on the card.
  3. After you are satisfied with the position of the handkerchief, thread the ribbon through one of the holes.
  4. Cross the ribbon over the handkerchief and thread it through the second hole.
  5. Criss-cross both ends of the ribbon behind the card and tie it so it secures the other half of the handkerchief.
  6. Tuck a flower underneath the ribbon for extra decoration.

Josephine Guicciardi is the nom de plume of our creative Evermine blogger. With romantic connections to Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Immortal Beloved” love letters, it is in keeping with the blog’s themes of love and joy. The great composer writes the famous words “ever thine, ever mine, ever ours” to a woman who remains a mystery to this day. Two of the most likely objects of his adoration are Josephine Brunsvik and Guilietta Guicciardi, and it’s from these two women that Josephine Guicciardi draws her persona.
