Add some rustic glam to your holiday table with these DIY pine cone place card holders. They pair well with other nature-themed elements, such as evergreen leaves, herbs and spices, and add a pop of surprise to your place settings. Leave your pine cones as-is for Thanksgiving, or get in touch with your crafty self and add some glitter for a faux snow effect that’s perfect for winter.
To add glitter or craft flakes to your pine cones, you just need a few simple supplies, and enough time before your event to let them dry thoroughly before attaching your personalized holiday place cards. Keep scrolling for our easy guide:
- Paint Brush
- White Glitter/Flakes
- Pinecones (that stand on their own)
- Mod Podge
- Placecards
- Add mod podge to the tips of each pinecone using a paint brush. Place pinecone on a protected surface covered with a large piece of newspaper or butcher paper. Sprinkle glitter or flakes onto each pinecone. Be sure to cover the areas painted with mod podge entirely. Repeat on all pinecones. Allow to sit for several hours until completely dry.
- Once dry, place one pinecone at each place setting, and attach your personalized place cards.
Used In This Project:
