Pinterest Collaboration: Home Apothecary with Rachel Beyer

Pinterest Collaboration: Home Apothecary with Rachel Beyer | Evermine Blog | www.evermine.com
If you’ve been following the Evermine Blog for awhile, you’ll know from reading Rachel’s posts that she often dabbles in the world of natural home remedies. She likes to experiment with herbs, spices and essential oils to create thoughtful, healing gift ideas for friends and family. For a few examples, check out her Sweet Slumber Tea Blend, Herbal Sachet Favors and Fire Cider recipe.

So we thought it would be fun to create a collaborative Pinterest board, Home Apothecary with Rachel Beyer, on this very subject! To get to know her better, and to discover the inspiration behind the Home Apothecary Pinterest board, we’ve asked Rachel a few questions:

Q. How long have you been contributing to the Evermine blog?
A. I’ve been contributing to the Everyone blog for almost five years now.

Q. How do you come up with your blog post ideas?
A. I look for inspiration everywhere. I’m a bit of a Pinterest addict, so I collect ideas for posts there. I also take inspiration from my daily life (such as upcoming family events, party planning, garden harvesting, etc).

Q. What has been your favorite blog post to write for us? Why?
A. I’ve written so many it’s hard to choose! A few of my favorites are DIY Pressed Herb Candles, Homemade Oregano Pesto and Homemade Bitters.

Q. What sorts of things do you do when you aren’t working/blogging?
A. When I’m not working/blogging I’m usually making art, playing with my twin nieces or cooking up something yummy.

Q. Can you tell us a little about the influence behind the Home Apothecary Pinterest board?
A. Last summer I started working part time at a local apothecary, and since then I’ve become more and more interested in herbal remedies. Just when I think I can’t handle any more hobbies, I find another! Right now I’m getting really into making my own tea blends and collecting essential oils.

Here are some of Rachel’s favorite pins from the Home Apothecary Pinterest board:

Josephine Guicciardi is the nom de plume of our creative Evermine blogger. With romantic connections to Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Immortal Beloved” love letters, it is in keeping with the blog’s themes of love and joy. The great composer writes the famous words “ever thine, ever mine, ever ours” to a woman who remains a mystery to this day. Two of the most likely objects of his adoration are Josephine Brunsvik and Guilietta Guicciardi, and it’s from these two women that Josephine Guicciardi draws her persona.
