For Purim, give a basket with the most important meal of the day – breakfast! This Purim Breakfast Basket can be assembled with a quick trip to the dollar store and the bulk section of your local grocery store. The beauty of this basket is that you can make it as simple or complex as you want.
What you need:
- Basket (in this example we used a stained crate, but you can find alternatives around your house or at your dollar store)
- Coffee beans
- Hand towel
- Morning newspaper
- Labels and Cellophane bags
- Hang tags and rope
- Kraft window tin bags
- Optional items: oatmeal, your favorite cereal, yogurt, jam, homemade bread, muffins, and orange juice.
This particular basket was filled with items around the house. Take a look at your pantry and be creative! Because everything was so inexpensive, you can make several baskets for your family and friends.
Divvy up the coffee beans and granola into kraft window tin bags and cellophane bags. Seal the deal with a personalized label to make it only look expensive. We used size 05 for the kraft window tin bags and size 17 for the cellophane bags.
If you are going for a clean, crisp look with your packaging, Caprice is the style to use.
Giving gifts to people who doesn’t like breakfast? Tie a tag with some gold ribbon to adorn a small bottle of champagne. You can also place a classy wine label on your favorite bottle. The possibilities are endless!
