S’more Pops

Every year around Valentine’s Day I start to get excited thinking about fun and unique treats to hand out to my son’s classmates. When I decided to make these S’more Pops I instantly knew what I wanted them to say. My husband and I always say “I love you!” “I love you more!” “No, I love you more!” I know it sounds incredibly cheesy but doesn’t it just make you giggle too? That’s what Valentine’s Day is all about!

S’more Pops

What You’ll Need:
• Graham Crackers
• Marshmallow cream
• Wilton Candy Melts (chocolate)
• Sprinkles
• Popsicle sticks

On a microwave safe plate arrange one square (two rectangles unbroken) of graham crackers. Place two Wilton chocolate candy melts in the center of each and heat until just before melting point. I found that with 4 crackers it takes about 30 seconds in my microwave, but all microwaves vary so just go in small intervals and keep an eye on them. You’ll want the chocolate to shine, but not melt all over in a pool.

Next take another square of graham cracker and spread about one tablespoon of marshmallow cream. Place the end of your stick into the cream, then sandwich that with a cracker that has chocolate. Lay your S’more Pop out on a tray to harden. I put mine in the fridge for about 15 minutes and they where nice and solid and ready to be dipped.

Follow the directions on the Wilton bag for melting. You can use a double boiler or the microwave. Once your chocolate is ready all that’s left is to dip in your S’more Pop. I added sprinkles while the chocolate was cooling, and popped them into the fridge again for 15 minutes.

Packaging these treats was the fun part (well, aside from licking the spoons). I first wrapped the S’more in a clear plastic craft bag tied securely to the popsicle stick with a ribbon. I chose heart shaped labels in red for my “I Love You S’more” saying and a matching oval favor tag with my son’s name. I’m tickled pink at how adorable these classroom treats turned out. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!
