Recruitment is just around the corner! It can feel overwhelming and stressful, but it’s super rewarding when all of your creative work pays off.
Planning your sorority’s recruitment? We recommend reading Sorority Sugar’s checklist for all the details needed in hosting a successful rush. The list goes into everything from the preparation to the execution.
If you’re looking for a more personalized approach to rush, here are a few ideas that would be perfect for you:
1. Pin-back buttons
Pin-back buttons are great to give potential members to pin on their shirt or backpack. It’s also perfect for current members to wear to show others what sorority they are in. We used Kappa’s colors deep blue and blue.
2. INKcredible freebies
Freebies are the best. And these are super easy to make. We used a pack of blue pens and ordered tags size 88 in blue that say “KKΓ wishes you an INKcredible fall semester“. Tie your tags to the pens with patterned twine and give them away to your fellow rushees.
In the design request form, we asked for the word INK to be in the same bold font as FALL SEMESTER.
3. Cute name tags
Ditch the plain Hello, my name is: labels for a more polished alternative. We ordered Morocco size 11 in blue and deep blue for rushees to write their names on. The blue labels were for the members and the deep blue labels were for potential members. We kept the first three text fields blank and just typed out KKΓ in the bottom field.
4. Personalized note
After all is said and done, thank your recruitment committee with a hand-written note. We personalized an enclosure card by leaving space for a quick note. In the Design Request form, we asked to replace the top icon with the fleur-de-lis.
How to order things with Greek letters:

- Type in your greek letters. If you don’t know how to type the special characters in, just copy and paste your letters from this alphabet:
- When you type in your Greek letters in the personalize page, don’t freak out if the fonts look odd. Just type what font you want in the design request form. Evermine can also send you a free proof, so you can see your order before it goes to print.
