If you’re ever in the need to spruce up your next table setting, or looking to set the right mood for a special occasion or dinner gathering, start with something as simple as a napkin fold. It may seem like a small detail, but the right napkin fold can dictate how the rest of your tablescape will unfold. Try out these three different napkin folding ideas to get you going in the right direction:
1. The Triple Pocket Fold
This one works well for a casual setting with a clean look. Place all the essentials in the pockets of the fold, or finish with a subtle detail such as a seasonal flower.
2. The Silverware Napkin Roll
If you’re gathering in an outdoor setting, or need a look that is easily transportable from one place or another, the silverware napkin roll is an easy way to bundle all your silverware, and can be prepared beforehand. Seal with a label for a personal touch.
3. The French Napkin Fold:
Here’s one that looks fancy but is easy to achieve. I love the shape and texture it creates. If you’re setting a table with place cards, the French Fold is the one for you.
Stay tuned for Part Two of our Napkin Folding Series where I’ll be showing some simple ways to incorporate a menu into your table setting!
