What materials are available for roll labels?

What lamination options are available, and how do they affect the labels?

• •Gloss Lamination - adds a shiny, vibrant finish that enhances colors and attracts attention while protecting against oils, acids, and water.
• •Matte Lamination - provides a soft, organic, velvety finish for a subtle, elegant look with the same protective qualities.
• •No Lamination - suitable for basic applications without added protection. This is also an important choice for tight mandrel (small diameter) labels to ensure that they stick solidly on the container.

Do you apply roll labels by hand or machine?

Roll labels can be applied either manually or by machine. For machine application, you can specify the unwind direction (top, bottom, right, or left edge first) to ensure compatibility with your equipment. Machine application is ideal for high-volume tasks like bottling because it provides fast and precise label placement.

Are roll labels waterproof?

It depends on the material you choose. Waterproof BOPP roll labels are highly durable, waterproof, and resistant to oils and acids, making them ideal for products like water bottles, bath and body items and food products. Waterproof BOPP labels perform well in most dishwashers, though corners may lift slightly over time. Paper labels however, are not waterproof and are not suitable for wet environments.

How do I ensure the label size and shape fit my container?

The best way to confirm the size and shape, is to draw the label dimensions on a piece of paper, cut it out, and tape it to your container. Can I remove roll labels for container reuse?

Roll labels are not designed to be re-usable. BOPP labels are difficult to pull off and leaves an adhesive residue on the container which may be removable with a solvent, depending on the material your container is made of. Paper labels cannot be removed intact.

What surfaces can roll labels adhere to?

Roll labels (BOPP and paper) adhere to glass, plastic, metal, paper, fabric, wood, and wax. For best adhesion, apply labels to a clean, dry, oil-free surfaceat room temperature.

Can I print different information on each label, like batch or bottle numbers?

How fast is the turnaround time for roll label orders?

Most roll label orders are ready to ship within 2 business days after proof approval. Short-run orders typically receive email proofs within 24 hours, and printing begins immediately upon approval. For large runs we recommend that you get a hard copy proof so you can see exactly the colors, resolution, shape and material. After your approval, we will print usually within 24 hours. It is important that you respond promptly to proofs to avoid delays.

What is the proofing process for roll labels?

A professional designer inspects your file for safety, bleed, shape, color, resolution, and fonts. For short-run orders, a digital proof is emailed within 24 hours. For large orders, a hard-copy proof is mailed. Once you approve the proof, printing begins immediately, often shipping the same day for digital approvals.

Can I upload my own design or use Evermine Label’s templates?

Are there color limitations for roll labels?

We print in CMYK, which is the standard in the industry. With CMYK the colors are built of percentages of cyan (blue), magenta, yellow and black ink. Most colors can be achieved with this system, but there are a few colors that are difficult to match, such as rich blues. We do not mix special colors. Keep in mind that colors on your screen will differ slightly from the printed result due to differences between digital displays and ink on paper. Our skilled design technicians review each file to make sure the colors are optimized for printing.

What are the shipping options for roll labels?

Can I pick up my order in person?

Yes, you may. Select “will call” during checkout, and Evermine will contact you when your order is ready for pickup. Our business hours are Monday–Friday, 7 AM–5 PM. We will be happy to take you on a tour of our facility, too.
