Almond Liqueur

The perfect elegant cocktail for your special occasion, this liqueur is smooth and sweet and has a very rich almond flavor. Add personalized labels and you have created a lovely wedding favor your guests will be happy to receive and love to keep.

• 2 cups sugar
• 2 cups water
• 2 cups vodka
• 3 tsp almond extract

Bring sugar and water to boil. Simmer for 10 minutes, remove from heat, stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into glass bottles, cork and store in a dark place.

Bottle almond liqueur in liqueur bottles, available at local beer-making supply stores or online at Cork, and finish with personalized labels, favor tags and bottle hoods.

    Hmmm. So, the recipe calls for brandy (which is a dark liquid) yet the bottles shown contain a clear, colorless liquid. o.O

    This needs some explanation, please?

    You are right, I did not use brandy in this recipe. This is my first mistake in writing a recipe for the blog, and it is one mistake too many. Thank you for pointing it out. I made this almond liqueur, adapting a recipe I received from a friend several years ago, and bottled it and photographed it.I have edited the recipe above so it does not have the brandy listed. Thank you again for the correction and for visiting our blog.
