Planning to exchange your nuptials in an enchanted forest setting? Why not greet your far traveling friends and family with a special gift of appreciation for making the journey. A forest wedding welcome basket is super easy to assemble, and can be as simple or extravagant as you’d like, with components that are made even more special with personalized favor tags, labels and packaging from Evermine. To help inspire you, we’ve put together a sample with all our favorite forest-themed essentials. Scroll down for a closer look:
‘Love Stays, Bugs Away’ Insect Repellant
Bug spray is one of the most useful things you can bring to a wedding in the woods. Whether it’s your own homemade concoction or a store bought formula, you can repackage the repellant in individual miniature spray bottles (like these) for your guests and add your own personalized waterproof labels. For ours, we chose square labels in the Ombre Sunset style with the words “love stays, bugs away.”
Hot Cocoa Packets in Enameled Mugs
Give your nearest and dearest something sweet to sip while warming their feet by the fire with single serving sized packets of your favorite powdered hot cocoa. To package, we used Evermine’s small rectangular glassine envelopes with personalized scallop labels.
To accompany the cocoa packets, we thought it would be fitting to present them alongside enameled mugs that can be heated up with water right over the campfire. We just happened to luck out with these colored enamel mugs from West Elm that perfectly match our color scheme. We added two mugs per basket, and attached the teal colored square labels to the yellow mugs, and the yellow colored square labels to the teal mugs.
‘Happy Trails’ Trail Mix
For a light snack, we put together some homemade trail mix in our small cellophane bags with yellow scallop hang tags sporting a personalized message. Inside the mix, we used color coordinating M&Ms along with a variety of nuts and dried fruits. Hint: You can personalize your own M&M’s for any event right from their website.
‘S’more Love’ S’more Kits
What forest wedding campfire would be complete without s’mores! One small cellophane bag holds just enough fixings for two s’mores: 4 graham crackers, a large square of chocolate and 2 marshmallows. Perfect! Plus, we’ve packaged them with our rectangular photo labels with an image that adds to the atmosphere.
DIY Fire Starter Kit
To make it super simple to start your campfire, we’ve added a DIY fire starter kit (tutorial here) with all the essentials: matches, a striker, tinder, kindling, a little sage to keep the bugs away and a simple personalized instructional tag.
Personalized Pin-Back Button Packs
Our button kits were super fun to put together. We just ordered three different pin-back button styles (Ombre Sunset and two different customizable photo styles). Then, to package all three styles together, we printed out free long luggage tags on white cardstock and punched tiny holes for the pins so they could be attached with even spacing along the center of the tag.
Wedding Welcome Cards
Last but not least, we included a wedding card with one of our favorite forest images and a simple message of welcome for each guest!
