A clever idea for your wedding receception
Setting up wine bottle table numbers & wine glass escort cards is a unique and clever way to guide your guests to their table. Family and friends can pick up a wine glass with their name on it, find their assigned table, and treat themselves to wine (or sparkling cider for the kids!). This also serves as a great and cheaper alternative to an open bar.
First, order a wine label with colors that match your wedding (we used the style, Joy of Scrolls). Designate a color for each table number. For example, we used Coral for table 1, Aruba for 2, and Pink for 3. If the number does not fill the space, just leave a request saying “Please enlarge number to fill the space” in the designer request box.
You can personalize the wine label even further by typing out the bride and groom’s name.
Second, order tags in the same style and colors. We kept the colors the same (Coral for table 1, Aruba for 2, and Pink for 3). Leave space to write the guests’ names.
Once your order arrives, place your wine labels on your wine bottles. You can include a non-alcoholic drink such as sparkling cider for the kids.
Then take your tags and write your guests’ names on them. Attach them to the wine glass stem. You can use the thread provided with the tags, but we used twine to match the rustic feel.
Set the labeled wine bottles on their designated tables. Place the tagged wine glasses on the table near the entrance. Guests can look for their name, pick up their glass, and treat themselves to a bottle of wine.
